Help Key:  CartManager seems to constantly produce three common questions:

1.      What is this?

2.      Where will it appear on my cart?

CartHelp has been designed to answer these questions for you.  We have made the answers much easier to find by highlighting them in the help section.  Answers are preceded by the key words What, Where, and How in Red.  Check it out….

I.    Cart Color Settings

a.      Title Text Color:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the color of the text title on your cart. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This color will be displayed in the title of the cart pages. 

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose a color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box.

b.      Text Color:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the color of the product information text. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be the main text color on the cart pages. 

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose the color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box. 

c.      Link Color:           

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the color of the page link text.   

                                                             ii.      Where:  This link text color will be displayed at the bottom of the view cart page where it reads, “Set your billing information to calculate.”  “Set” is the link you are choosing a color for.  This will control the color of all other links added to this page.

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose the color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box.

d.      Visited Link Color:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the color of the page link text for a link you have already selected.

                                                             ii.       Where:  This color will be displayed by the link text at the bottom of the view cart page where it reads, “Set your billing information to calculate.”  “Set” is the link, and will appear the color you choose when the customer has previously selected it.   Other links added to this page will appear the same. 

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose the color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box. 

e.      Active Link Color:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the color of the link text when it is selected. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This color will be displayed by all active links on the view cart page. 

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose the color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box. 

f.        Background Color:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to choose the background color of your cart. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  The color you select will be displayed in the background of the cart pages.

                                                            iii.      How:  To choose the color, click the down arrow and select one from the drop down box. 

II.                Contact Information

a.      Company Name:

                                                               i.      What:  This is where you type your company name.

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your company name. 

b.      Slogan:

                                                               i.      What:  This is where you should enter the overall theme of your business. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt and the cart pages. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your slogan.

c.      Address:

                                                               i.      What:  This is where you type your company’s street address.

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your address. 

d.      City:

                                                               i.      What:  Type the city where your business resides. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt.

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your city. 

e.      State:

                                                               i.      What:  Type the state where your business resides. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt.

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your state. 

f.        Zip Code:

                                                               i.      What:  Type in your business zip code. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your zip code. 

g.      Country:

                                                               i.      What:  Type in the country where your business resides. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your country.

h.      Phone:

                                                               i.      What:  Type in your business phone number. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your Phone Number. 

i.        Fax:

                                                               i.      What:  Type in your business fax number.

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will be displayed on the customer’s receipt.  You will  need it to accept fax numbers. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your fax number. 

III.               Web Site Information

a.      E-mail address to forward orders:

                                                               i.      What:  This tells Cartmanager where to forward your orders.

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will not affect the appearance of your cart.

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your e-mail address.

b.      Send me notification of cart updates:

                                                               i.      What:  This tells Cartmanager that you are want to receive notifications concerning updates to the Cart. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will not affect the appearance of your cart. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Check this box to receive updates on the Cart to the above address. 

c.      E-mail address for administration:

                                                              i.      What:  Enter an additional e-mail address here if you want information other than orders or update notices, sent to a separate e-mail account.  This may include billing notices, etc.

                                                            ii.      Where:  This will not affect the appearance of the cart. 

                                                          iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in your e-mail address.  This tells Cartmanager to send all e-mails, other than orders and update notifications, to this account.

d.      Send me notification of cart updates:

                                                              i.      Check this box to receive updates on the cart to the above e-mail address.

e.      URL’s of accepted websites:

                                                              i.      What:  This allows you to specify the URL’s you will accept orders from. Enter all the URL’s you will accept orders from in the boxes. 

                                                            ii.      Where:  This will not affect the appearance of the cart.   

                                                          iii.      How:  Click on the box and type in the URL’s that you will accept.  This list will be checked each time an order is placed to ensure the customer is ordering from the accepted URL’s.  Otherwise, the order will be invalid.  It is unnecessary to add the extension after the “.com” or “.net”.

f.       Continue Shopping URL:

                                                              i.      What:  The Continue Shopping button allows you to forward the customer to a specific page. 

                                                            ii.      Where:  The customer can use this method on the view cart page, the receipt page, and when they empty their cart. 

                                                          iii.      How:  Enter the URL that you want the customer to be forwarded to when they click the continue shopping button.  Click on the box and type in the URL. 

g.      Continue Method:

                                                              i.      What:  There are two options to choose from: 

1.      Default (View Cart):  When an order is placed this option will immediately view the Cart.

2.      Automatic Forward:  If Automatic Forward is selected, it will forward the customer to the above specified URL when an order is placed.

                                                            ii.      Where:  Both of these options refer to the continue method, which is applied when an order is placed.

                                                          iii.      How:  To select the method, press the down arrow button and click on the option you want.

h.      Continue Shopping URL for Receipt: 

                                                               i.      What: This allows you to forward the customer to the specified URL when they press the continue shopping button on the receipt page. 

                                                             ii.      Where:

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on the box and enter the URL you want the customer to be forwarded to.

IV.              Merchant Account Information

This information applies your business to your cart.

a.      Gateway:

                                                               i.      What:  Your gateway is…

                                                             ii.      Where:  This will not affect the appearance of the cart. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Select your gateway from the pull down menu.  It will provide you with the rest of the information needed.  If you do not have any of the requested information, contact your gateway to obtain it.

b.      Cart Mode:

                                                               i.      What:  There are two options to choose from:

1.      Normal mode:  Processes your orders normally.

2.      Test Mode:  Processes the orders according to the Gateway’s test specifications.

                                                             ii.      Where:

                                                            iii.      How:  Select the one that applies to you.

c.      Type of Transaction Process:

                                                               i.      What:  Choose the types of transaction you wish to process.  Select from two:

1.      Authorize Only:  Upon approval, money will be set in “reserved mode” and the cart will be advanced at a later time.  The transaction must be settled online using Virtual Terminal of your Payment Gateway after the item is shipped.

2.      Normal Transactions:  Upon approval, money is given to you and the credit card is advanced.  You may only use this mode if you can guarantee that the merchandise will arrive within 24 hours.

                                                             ii.      Where:

                                                            iii.      How:  Select the one that applies to you.

d.      What payment methods do you accept:

                                                               i.      What:  Select the type of payment you will accept. 

                                                             ii.      Where: 

                                                            iii.      How:  Select all that apply to your business.

e.      Type of order Transactions Allowed:

                                                               i.      What:  Specify how you will accept payment of products you sell.

1.      By credit cart with real-time processing.  This allows you to process the customer’s credit card when the number is submitted.

2.      By credit card without real-time processing.  The credit card number will be entered and submitted to you, and you must process the card.

3.      By fax printout. The customer will print an order form, fill it out and fax it to you.  The fax number and credit card information will be included on the order form.

4.      By check through postal mail.  The customer will send you an order form and check in the mail for products ordered.

                                                             ii.      Where:

                                                            iii.      How:  Click on all that apply to you.

f.        Extra Card Information:

                                                               i.      Allow verification number input:  Some credit cards are issued with an additional four-digit code.  If you want to allow customers to include this code, mark this selection.

g.      Collect Expiration Date:

                                                               i.      What:  This option allows you to request the expiration date with the credit card information. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  A box will be added to the check out page, where the expiration date will be entered.  Some credit cards have an expiration date.

                                                            iii.       How:  If you want to request the expiration date, check the box.  It is not mandatory for the customer to enter the expiration date.  It is only an option. 

h.      Cybersource Settings:

                                                               i.      If you have a CyberSource IFS account, put the settings in the Cybersource window to enable it for your shopping cart.

V.                 Tax Information

What: 

Where:  This information applies to your business and will not affect the appearance of your cart.

a.      State:

                                                               i.      How:  Select the state where the business resides.

b.      Zip Code:

                                                               i.      How:  Select the zip code of your business.

c.      Sales tax:

                                                               i.      How:  Enter the sales tax for you residing state

d.      Calculate tax before shipping costs:

                                                               i.      What:  This will calculate the sales tax before shipping charges are added.  If left unchecked, it will assume that you want the sales tax figured in after shipping charges have been added. 

                                                             ii.      Where

                                                            iii.      How:  To select it, check the box.

e.      Calculate Sales Tax based on:

                                                               i.      What:  This will calculate sales tax based on the shipping address or the billing address. 

1.      Shipping Address:  This will calculate tax based on the state where the product is being shipped. 

2.      Billing Address: This will calculate tax based on the state where the bill is mailed.

                                                             ii.      Where:

                                                            iii.      How:  Click the down arrow and select the method of sales tax calculation you desire.

f.        Tax ID List:

                                                               i.      What:  This option is to allow tax exempt customers to place orders from your cart. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  If this option is needed, a box will be added to the View Cart page where a customer can enter their tax ID.  This option is to be used for customers that are tax exempt. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Make sure the customer has a valid state tax ID.  You may create a new system tax ID as something the customer wants.  Write in the new ID and press add.  A box will appear on the view cart page where the tax ID can be entered. Go to step nine (other information) and select (Allow Tax ID Code to be input from the 'View Cart').  Whenever that customer places an order, they will be able to enter the New Tax ID and will be exempt from taxes.

VI.              Shipping Options

Where:  Applies to shipping requirements, and does not affect the appearance of your cart.  Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after your entries.

a.      Flat base handling fee:

                                                               i.      What:  You can set a flat charge for all orders unless they are tax exempt.  

                                                             ii.      How:  Enter the flat charge amount.

b.      Minimum Shipping Charge:

                                                               i.      What:  You can require a minimum charge no matter how much is ordered. 

                                                             ii.      How:  Enter the amount.

c.      Maximum shipping Charge:

                                                               i.      What: You can set a shipping charge that cannot be exceeded, despite the quantity ordered. 

                                                             ii.      How:  Enter the amount.

d.      Free Shipping Order Threshhold:

                                                               i.      What:  You can set an amount at which shipping becomes free for the customer. 

                                                             ii.      How:  Enter the amount.

e.      Extra Charge for Rush Order:

                                                               i.      What:  This allows you to set an extra charge if the customer requires quick delivery. 

                                                             ii.      How:  Enter the amount.

f.        Wording:

                                                               i.      What:  This allows you to select a word or phrase to use to identify shipping and handling charges. 

                                                             ii.      How:  Press the down arrow and click on one of the three selections.

g.      Approved Shipping Methods:

                                                               i.      What:  You can select the shipping methods you will allow. 

                                                             ii.      Where:  There are several available shipping methods.  One will appear on the billing/shipping page. 

                                                            iii.      How:  Scroll down the list and select your desired method. Click add.  Your “default method” selected will automatically be applied as the desred shipping method until the customer changes it.

h.      Shipping by Price Table:

                                                               i.      What:  You can have varying shipping charges according to the price of the products

                                                             ii.      Where: 

                                                            iii.      How:  Input the order amount in the first box, and the shipping amount in the second box, according to the purchase price.  When entering your prices, make sure they start at zero, not one.  This price table is not automatically activated.  It must be activated in the “add to cart” buttons for each of the products.  The name of the shipping method the customer will see is “Text to Show for Shipping Methods”. 

i.        Shipping by Weight Table:

                                                               i.      What:  This allows you to have shipping charges that vary, according to the weight of the product/products purchased. 

                                                             ii.      Where: 

                                                            iii.      How:  Enter the weight in the first box.  Enter the price which corresponds to the weight range in the second box.  Make sure
